✅ 1. Check the base and weight

Most stoves from Jøtul, NunnaUuni or other manufacturers can be installed on a regular base, but fireplaces with storage or storage stoves can weigh several hundred kilograms.

According to Lithuanian standards, floors must withstand a load of 150 kg/m².

If the selected fireplace weighs more, you need to assess whether the base will need additional reinforcement.

✅ 2. Correct distance from walls

• Stoves can be made of steel or cast iron, and their installation requirements vary:
• Steel ovens are usually convection, so they can be placed closer to the wall.
• Cast iron stoves require a greater distance because their casing needs to be ventilated.
• It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions to maintain fire safety requirements.

✅ 3. What kind of chimney is suitable?

• The chimney is the “engine of the fireplace.” If it is not working properly, the fireplace will not operate efficiently either.
• If you have an old chimney, be sure to consult with us. According to fire safety regulations, an insert must be installed in an old brick chimney.
• Our craftsmen can check the condition of the chimney and install a certified insert to ensure safe combustion and compliance with all standards.
• It is very important to follow the fireplace manufacturer's instructions regarding the required chimney diameter.

If the fireplace is connected to a chimney that is too narrow, there is a risk that:
• it will be difficult to light the fireplace;
• smoke may "pop" when the door to the room is opened;
• thrust will decrease and combustion will deteriorate.
